So much history in that little dial. I remember the one that moved the selector on my ME Super to introduce the aperture priority mode. Then, in the 90s, with the Program modes and the autofocus launched by the Minolta 7000, dials and other controls increased dramatically, up to the current digital cameras where we end up using only a tiny fraction of all those provided functions.

The circle was close at hand.

You just have to see it, a great theme photo.

Beyond this week's theme, I realize I don't even look at the controls on my cameras anymore.
Even with "old" Nikons from 2008, my fingers automatically wander through the settings, and I think this gear wheel for the settings is timeless.
Beautiful details on these beautiful toys that give us so much pleasure.
