Moon over the Serres

Posted by

In this part of Belgium, the "Druivenstreek", there used to be serres (glass houses) all over where they grew grapes.

Since the 1970's, and spike in fuel prices to heat the serres, the glass houses became less and less. Now there are only a small number in the hundreds where there were previously thousands. But some locals still grow grapes like they did a hundred years ago.
