Fonske (the Fons Sapientiae)

Posted by
Jason Kravitz (Brussels, Belgium) on 13 May 2019 in Architecture.

The Fons Sapientiae or Fonske statue in Leuven, Belgium is a tribute to student life in this ~600 year old University town.

Some say he is pouring the cup of knowledge into his skull, though given Leuven is home to the famous Stella Artois beer, perhaps he is imbibing other libations.
