Cycling in Flanders

Posted by
Jason Kravitz (Brussels, Belgium) on 8 May 2012 in Lifestyle & Culture.

Sunday there was a race for juniors (ages 15-20 I think) in Eizer Belgium - there were many Belgians and a few Canadians who came over for the race.

These youngin's had a lot of stamina but after the 10th lap or so you could see the pain on their faces coming up the hill and around the bend... this was one of the early laps (which is also right next to the pasture where these toast eating horses live)

Like toys, what a cool line-up and i like the path running towards them and leading our eye (on the right).

A delightful, quiet, colorful people train cutting through the green.

Neat shot of the action. You live in a busy, interesting neighborhood.

my favorite part of this shot is the tiny trail/path you seem to be walking on, and the wooded area ahead...
I'm starting to fall in love with your neighborhood! :)
I have to say that I completely ignore the main topic of this shot...the bicyclists are like ghosts to me in this shot...I don't see them! :)

@Maria: I have not even started to photograph the woods yet ! We have some old growth forest nearby with trees from around the world (in an arboretum) - fun to see Pacific Northwest Sequoias and Redwoods in a forest in Belgium

forgot to say, I'm weird!
