A Flower for the Sun

Posted by
Jason Kravitz (Brussels, Belgium) on 21 June 2005 in Plant & Nature.

Shuva, Leslie and I (along with Jamie and Santosh) drove an hour out to Rutledge Georgia to check out a sunflower field.

There is a big sunflower festival on July 2nd. We were a little too early however as the sunflowers had not quite bloomed. The people at the farm were very kind and let Shuva and I walk around their scenic property and take photos of anything and everything.

This sunflower is one of the early bloomers. We might try to go back to see the full field before they wither away in the hot Georgia sun.
