Well Belgium definitely has a different atmosphere, lacking the hungover, red-eyed, 5am bums off the street. I would also be willing to bet upwards of $100 (US) that the Belgium waffles taste better and are healthier for you as well. ;)

I agree with Aaron. And if you travel a little more to the North, cross the borderline and go to Amsterdam, you'll find very healthy space cakes in similar shops. One of the most famous touristic attractions of north europea ! ;)
