Pirates Curse

Posted by
Jason Kravitz (Brussels, Belgium) on 30 October 2004 in Abstract & Conceptual.

The light strikes a dusty old bottle of rum as the skull shines bright through the darkness of night.

Tomorrow is Halloween which must be why this still life reminds me of some old pirates curse. The dusty bottle of rum is actually olive oil but with a little imagination it adds to the story.

Talking about Pirate's curse ... I would rather have looked at a Johnny Depp pic ;)

Great shot !

Great pic ... the skull is not immediately evident, which makes its discovery all the more interesting to the composition. I love the soft blue glow off the top of the skull.

By the way, rumors are abound that you're sick with fever ... maybe a little rum wouldn't hurt, eh? Get well soon (or DIE!!)

I thought Colavita was olive oil. Good color.

I have not see the skull at the first time, but coming back to the picture it's evident. Nice shoot for halloween.

Nice exposure and lighting. BTW never heard of Colavita, but I immediately thought it was (Coca)Cola+ vita(min) :-)
