Turkish Freighter

Posted by Jason Kravitz (Brussels, Belgium) on 22 January 2008 in Cityscape & Urban.

Here's an interesting phenomenon. I call it Simpson's Synchronicity.

For those who don't know... the term Synchronicity was coined by Psychoanalyst Carl Jung to describe a meaningful coincidence.

Somehow I have these psychic moments and strange coincidences related to the Simpson's TV show. Sometimes things happen in my life and are echoed on the next episode I watch. Other times I have a dream that is somehow brought to life on the show that night.

In this case, I was looking through my Aminus3 directory to find an image to post tomorrow. I flipped through to this image at the exact moment Homer Simpson said something about a Turkish Freighter and as I looked up there was a cartoon boat much like the boat in this image which I took in Istanbul a few months ago.

Strange!
