I attended my first crop circle symposium in England last weekend. There are a lot of theories and interpretations about what causes these. Regardless of what people believe, the phenomenon provides a great platform for discussion. I met some really interesting and insightful people.
This lovely field was the site of a circle that appeared on 7/7/07. It was pouring down rain as we sludged down the tram line into the formation and as we entered the circle the clouds parted and the sun shined through.

Here's my theory: they're man-made. If any of those people you met suggested otherwise I would call them delusional, not insightful, and then introduce them to my friend William.
Anyways, enough ranting. Very cool you got to go and see one. This is a great photo ... those clouds look poppin' fresh and what a great place for the aliens to hide with watchful eyes.

What is a "crop circle symposium" ?

Nice photo! I love to learn that it was made in the crop-circle field. I don't have any theory about the crop circles, i'd like them to be made by the magneticy of the fields or something that the science can explain for now. I can't imagine the revolution cwen science will explain thinkgs like that!

Nice shot - good contrast. Hmmmm...Seems like a group of young men admitted to making some crop circles and showed how they did it!
