Roses in Natural Light II

Another view from my shot yesterday. The roses are in the same place. I just moved slightly so my background is through another plant and the window beyond.

Do you prefer the black background of yesterday or the blue blur today?

Hey man. sorry for the lack of comms...busy as you know. Lovely couple of macros. I personally prefer the former but its a close call to be honest, I think its more of a compostional thing than a background thing for me though as I like how the former images flowers filled the frame a little more. Although I prefer the ligting in this one as shadows are much more gentle..mmm...theyre both nice.

No doubt for me. Absolutely yesterday's with the black background. This photo is nice but, to me, it is a rose photo. Yesterday we saw a portrait of a rose, something quite special and artistic.

Both shots are wonderful. Yesterdays is beautiful but I also like the background color in todays. It's a tough one for me.

Black background. This one has some nice colors, but the shot is compositionally too complicated, I think. That, and from this angle the flowers stretch too far apart for my tastes. That said, they're both good pictures. The black one I think is *great*.
