This past Saturday my co-workers and I got a pep talk from a motivational speaker who prepared us to walk on fire without getting burned.
Don't let those shoes in the background fool you we walked barefoot on the coals and flames. I made it through without getting burned. Was it the power of positive thinking or a parlor trick?
I'm a pretty strong believer in the power of our thoughts affecting the physical but there are also some logical reasons why we can walk on hot coals without being burned (I had to make that disclaimer so Aaron doesn't start sending me links to howstuffworks.com or something like that).

Cool shot..well actually I suppose it would be more accurate to describe it as pretty hot. I like how the combination if the low flames in the foreground and the high to the rear seem to frame the tire on the wheelbarrow

the foto is nice. In Greece the people that walk on fire are caled ANASTENARIDES. This would have been an interesting photo too.

Love your comments (and the photo too!!) but I am with you about being somewhat skeptical about firewalking!! having said that - I am NOT following in your footsteps literally or figuratively!!

I think I would not either be burned in this situation, because I would not accept to put a toe on that fire ! I'm not crazy : water wets, fire burns ! No no no ! I wouldn't !

He, he, love it Jason (comment on Aaron especially. I was thinking the same when I read about your power of the mind comment) ! that's so cool you walked on burning coal.

Mind over matter. A big step to the meta physical.

I don't know about walking on fire, but I like your perspective on this shot. What can I say, I'm a big wuss.

Nice crop--gives it an iconic quality. And that sort of reminds me of William Carlos Williams' poem about the red wheelbarrow...
