Why has no one made any comment about the Fairy Tree? Isn"t thier supposed to be a pot of gold hidden around it?

No there's no pot of gold. The fairy tree is supposed to be a gateway into the little folk's world, so in a way it was wise to stay away from them. we grew up in Ireland and were always warned not to get too close as the fairies might take a liking to you and take you away into their world. It was also said that if you needed help you could leave a gift and the fairies might help you depending on their whim. You may notice in Ireland that there will be a field completely cultivated and given over to crops except for one tree, well thats the fairy tree and woe betide you if you chop it down, the wrath of the fairies will be on you and you'll have bad luck for the rest of your days.
