Our neighbor in Belgium has a rooster in their backyard. I think there must be some sort of avian flu vulnerability here but am not sure!

Jason, as long as this rooster is not in contact with wild birds, you are pretty safe... are they keeping it as a pet? If you feel unsure talk to the neighbour or report it... but by all means do not follow Aaron´s instructions as you should avoid touching it ;) Your new life is full od adventures....

If you have any doubt, you do not have to kill it. You just have to dry it 2 minutes in a micro-wave. No risk at all. Sometimes, they stop singing after this treatment, wich is not always a bad thing.
