Asheville is about 3 hours from Atlanta - Savannah will take a while longer since it is in the western part of NC - it's a really cool city though and I highly recommend visiting - would love to go there with you and the Aguzzi clan and do some hiking and photo fun.

Beautiful! But where are the fall colors. I wish I had your camera and skill to photograph Missouri trees this fall. They're turning one or two at a time, which makes each one of them a jewel in the landscape! Whole range of colors from yellow ot purple. As a Floridian for 15 years I'd forgotten how miraculous a slow, leisurely fall can seem. --Oh, I know frost is coming; then the first blizzard . . . but tomorrow the temperature is to be 70 degrees, and those trees . . . !!

You are right Ben - I was hoping for something a little more dramatic in the mountains this time of year but it was not too spectacular... Maybe you can get us a shot and post a guest aminus3 photo!
