When we first arrived in Brugge (and for most the day) there was a thick fog enveloping everything. This was one of the first photos I took in the city.

A fascinating study. The tower looks almost magical, its light silvery color and repeated spires ascending into the light/fog. It is set against (as if arising out of) the earthy realism of the main building w/ its dark doors and windows, its repeated arches and triangles, its very earthy stains and fading, variegated browns. I'll keep coming back to this one!

The tower in the bg steals the show here!

I was up in that tower 6 years ago and when I was there it was foggy too. An excellent composition working in both the average city street and the more well-known tower.

The buildings in Brugge have a lot of character as your shots have shown. The absence of a blue sky changes everything. Good contrast between the two structures.
