Total Lunar Eclipse

Posted by Jason Kravitz (Brussels, Belgium) on 28 October 2004 in Plant & Nature.

What a strange day - many technical problems at work and a flat tire on my way home but I was able to get back in time to eat dinner and set up the tripod for the lunar eclipse. We had nearly perfect clear skies except about 20 minutes before totality - then the clouds moved off just in time for me to catch the last photo in the series, full coverage with a red tinge.

All shot with 400mm lens - the first four were somewhere around ISO 200, f/8, 1/250s - the last one was ISO 1600, f/5.6, .8s

These are the original size in the frame from the camera, no post processing except combining them together in Photoshop.
